Karin Chue
Program Director, Women's Teams & Youth Volleyball Clinics
Coach Karin is an institution for youth volleyball development in Massachusetts. A member of the Board of Directors with Beantown Volleyball Club and is responsible for Player Development. Karin has been a valuable member of our club for many years and has had many roles. She has coached at all levels of the program and will teaches our younger athletes. Karin has also coached volleyball at the college level and with the Newton South and Natick HS programs.

Harry Aue
Program Director, Men's Volleyball
Harry is an original member of Boston Wing Wor, and a founding member of the Boston Hurricanes. He played/coached in the NACIVT since 1972, and served as Tournament Director for the 60th and 66th NACIVT held in Boston.

Patrick Tom
Program Director, Summer Volleyball Clinics
Coach Pat has been the Program Director for Hurricanes Summer Volleyball Clinics for the last four years and has played for the Hurricanes Men's A Team for the past twelve years. An avid reader and self-educator, Patrick stays up-to-date on the latest research of culture-building, team-building, leadership, memory, and the neurology of skill-learning, and is currently studying childhood trauma in order to better guide and teach young children life skills through volleyball.
As a player, Pat was the libero for the first New England team to ever receive a bid to Open Nationals. A State Semi-finalist his freshman year, Pat went on to become a Boston Globe All-Scholastic his Sophomore year at Newton North High School, after leading his team to the school's first State Championship appearance.

Coach Taylor (Lasell College, '16) has coached volleyball for seven years and has been part of the Boston Hurricanes for the past four. An experienced and well-respected club and high school coach, Taylor has built successful teams with Beantown Club Volleyball, Newton South High School Boy's Junior Varsity and Wellesley High School Girl's Varsity.
Taylor was instrumental in bringing the private volleyball coaching organization NEPVCA to life, which offers Skill Clinics, Summer Camp and private lessons to volleyball players of all ages for affordable prices. When not coaching, Taylor loves being with friends and family, relaxing and not worrying about work.
"As much as I coach the skills, I focus on the IQ of the game. I think it is an overlooked and teachable skill, so I put a great deal of focus on that. Volleyball should be fun and competitive, and I hope to encourage that in my coaching."

Mike Stanley
Head Coach, Women's Orange
Coach Mike played 4 years of varsity volleyball at Natick High School (NHS). Starting freshman year to being a co-captain senior year and helping lead the team on and off the court. They finished as State Runner up for NHS his senior year. Mike has been coaching at NHS under Coach Suxho since 2008 as the Freshman coach for the boys and as the head coach of freshman girls. Mike also coaches during the off-season with various Club teams. He has learned through coaching and coach Peter’s black and white style, how to reach players potentials and expand through them for maximum growth both on and off the court. Volleyball is honestly a huge part of Mike’s life, and the benefits of his training can develop our young athletes into incredible young people and players.

Jeff Emenaker
Head Coach, Women's Black
Coach Jeff joined the Hurricanes program in 2018. He has spent the past four seasons coaching at the SMASH Volleyball Program, most recently a coach of the SMASH 14s Ice.
Jeff began his volleyball career as a Sophomore at the U.S. Naval Academy ending his collegiate stint as Captain. His team finished 3rd in the East Coast Finals behind perennial powerhouses George Mason and Penn State and were ranked 16th in the National Rankings. Jeff served eight years in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer continuing his playing in the Southern California Military Division Beach Volleyball in San Diego. His coaching and volleyball interests rekindled as his sons began to play.

Amanda Lacey
Head Coach, Women's White
Amanda has been playing volleyball since she was in the seventh grade, and played as a middle for the Brookline High School team from 2011-2015. She has been part of the Hurricanes side 2012, participating in both the clinics and the Women’s Program. She is currently one of the middles for the Women’s Gold Team.
She has coached with various programs for the last four years, including the Boston Hurricanes clinics as the Beginner’s Head Coach, SMASH as a coach at various clinics, The Brookline Public School System as a middle school
Coach, and Brookline High School as an aid to the boy’s volleyball program. She coached her first season as the Hurricane’s Women’s White Coach in 2019.
She especially enjoys and excels at coaching younger children, teaching them not only the fundamentals of the sport, but also developing their confidence, fostering a healthy and productive team environment, and guiding them towards communicating in an effective and healthy way. She believes that this is critical to begin at a young age and is honored to be a part of it for her players.
Outside of volleyball, Amanda is current Biology and Professional Writing student at UMass Boston, a veterinary assistant, and an aspiring veterinarian.

Maicen Young
Head Coach, Women's Gold
Coach Maicen (Boston University, '14) has been coaching since 2007, finding a passion for it after helping out the girls freshman team while attending Newton North High School. He went on to help out with the Junior Varsity team and coaching summer camps for SMASH volleyball club.
Maicen has been a coach for Northeastern Women's Club Volleyball for the past five years - under his direction, the team has gone from being unranked (competing in D1AA at Nationals) to finishing top 25 in D1A. He achieved the first regional title in program history in the 2017-18 season, and finished 3rd in National Coach of the Year voting at the 2017-2018 national tournament. He will be returning to Northeastern this upcoming fall; this is his first year with the Hurricanes.

Sarah Hollis
Assistant Coach, Women's Black
Coach Sarah (Lesley University, '18) has been coaching U13 teams and summer camps for SMASH Volleyball Club since 2016. A two-time captain at Lesley, Sarah led her team to two NECC Finals appearances. She was recently announced as the new assistant coach at Suffolk University; this is her first year with the Hurricanes.
Outside of volleyball, Sarah is an Infant/Toddler lead teacher at Brookline Schools Staff Children's Center.
