Amanda has been playing volleyball since she was in the seventh grade, and played as a middle for the Brookline High School team from 2011-2015. She has been part of the Hurricanes side 2012, participating in both the clinics and the Women’s Program. She is currently one of the middles for the Women’s Gold Team.
She has coached with various programs for the last four years, including the Boston Hurricanes clinics as the Beginner’s Head Coach, SMASH as a coach at various clinics, The Brookline Public School System as a middle school
Coach, and Brookline High School as an aid to the boy’s volleyball program. She coached her first season as the Hurricane’s Women’s White Coach in 2019.
She especially enjoys and excels at coaching younger children, teaching them not only the fundamentals of the sport, but also developing their confidence, fostering a healthy and productive team environment, and guiding them towards communicating in an effective and healthy way. She believes that this is critical to begin at a young age and is honored to be a part of it for her players.
Outside of volleyball, Amanda is current Biology and Professional Writing student at UMass Boston, a veterinary assistant, and an aspiring veterinarian.
